MUSEUM OF NEW JERSEY MARITIME HISTORY -  On July 3rd, 2007,  my husband, ex-husband and I successfully completed a 3-year construction project with the opening of a maritime museum and educational facility at Dock Road and West Avenue in Beach Haven.  Built on property formerly owned by us, this construction was financed entirely with our own funds  (and that of our bank) with no supplemental funding or grants from any governmental agency.  Since then, the entire museum property, inclusive of the building and its contents,  has been deeded to the non-profit corporation to be maintained as an educational maritime museum in perpetuity.

A registered non-profit, 501(C)(3) facility, the Museum of New Jersey Maritime History, Inc. houses a large collection of nautical antiques, accounts and photographs of New Jersey shipwrecks, historical documents relating to the establishment of the U.S. Life-Saving Service, a research library, public internet cafe', computer data-base, and recovered shipwreck artifacts.

It has been a life-long dream of mine to pay homage to our rich maritime history by the creation of such a memorial, where the public can view, firsthand - and free of charge - an important part of New Jersey's heritage.  More importantly, this facility will enable today's youth to learn more about this fascinating part of their State's history and will provide them with an incentive to preserve this legacy for generations to come.
